The Year of Beauty and the Beast

Disney is renewing our love for the classic fairytale, Beauty and the Beast, to celebrate the film’s 25th anniversary. It’s the childhood movie that won the hearts of many Millennials and young girls still play dress up in Belle’s famous gold gown.

The beloved movie is making a huge comeback this year, in so many different ways. From collector merchandise to Run Disney’s choice of theming for the Princess Half Marathon, Disney is spoiling fans before the 2017 premier of the live-action version of Beauty and the Beast (featuring actress Emma Watson).

As a perceptive introvert who adores books, Belle has always been my favorite Disney princess. I couldn’t be happier that Disney is truly celebrating the 25th anniversary of my favorite animated film.

I’ve collected some fun ways to commemorate the movie we all cherish…

25th Anniversary Edition of Beauty and the Beast

Of course, Disney opened their vault and gave us a special anniversary edition of the movie. It’s time to upgrade from the VHS version you had as a kid and enjoy the new HD glory. You can pre-orders your copy before the September 20th release date: Beauty and the Beast: 25th Anniversary Edition – (BD+DVD+DIGITAL HD) [Blu-ray].

Dooney & Bourke “Beauty & the Beast” Collection

This coveted new collection will be released August 15h on the Disney Parks app. A tote, letter carrier and wristlet will encompass the collection. The design features all of our favorite characters from the movie. Be ready to buy, because these will be a HOT collector’s item. You can download the app HERE.

Run Disney’s Princess Half Marathon Weekend

Ok- I am slightly partial to this one. The 2017 Princess Half Marathon Weekend will be themed around the film. You can run and sing your favorite tunes from the movie at the same time. The Run Disney courses will be lined with your favorite characters and specialty themed merchandise will be available at the expo. HERE is my race recap from this year’s race.

I am a fan of Belle! I also love the Tsum Tsums, although I'm not sure my son would recognize the characters. And that Dooney and Bourke pattern is really pretty. :)
